- Circulating nonfiction videos for four weeks - decision on options distributed at the last AAC meeting. OWLS recommends not choosing option 1.
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - last book there were some concerns about not being able to check books out on the release date, because all of the copies were in transit. Should we do something about this? Libraries, please bring along the number of copies of HP & the DH that you've pre-ordered, in all formats.
6. Discussion - discussion of issues that may be up for decision at future meetings
- Employee patron type - consequences for the new OWLSnet.info. We can use the patron type to help provide access to secure content, but that means that this Ptype needs to be restricted to active employees only.
- Proposal: Clearing holdshelf - we accidentally cleared everyone's holdshelf the other day and discovered that some libraries still aren't running this every day (or at all). Should OWLS clear the holdshelf once a week for everyone, just to be sure?
- Proposal: Should we change loan period for CDs (and tapes) to 14 days with 1 renewal (like magazines and CD-ROMs)?
- Proposal: Should we change the patron home agency policy?
