InfoSoup Database Survey

We have mentioned the possibility of doing brief online surveys of InfoSoup users, both in the InfoSoup Development Plan and in various meetings throughout the past year. Well, the time has come to give one a try! We will be posting the InfoSoup Database Survey on the homepage on July 30th. Feel free to take a look and post your comments.

Thanks!
Beth

Barbara K. APL:

Easy to use survey. Could provide some interesting information.

I hope that the results data will be available to libraries so we can identify issues and work directly with our patrons to address them.

Barbara:

The survey is short and sweet. It should give answers to quite a bit of basic information without getting too cumbersome. A future survey could include questions concerning what people like or don't like about the resource tools that are presently available.

Penny:

I like it. Simple and direct. How long do you plan on running the survey?

Beth C, OWLS:

Penny - that's a good question. Would running it for 2 weeks be long enough? Any other suggestions?

Rick:

OWLS and NFLS regularly use LSTA funds to help pay for InfoSoup databases. Results from a patron survey would be very helpful to us in completing our grant evaluations.

Elizabeth:

I like the brevity of it, too. I think you could run it for the month of August because things are so hectic with school approaching. This is a great experiment to see if the public will participate & see what they have to say!

Beth C, OWLS:

Just an update on the survey for you... As of right now, we have had 265 people respond to the survey! As long as we keep getting a good number of responses each day, I'll keep it up on the homepage. When responses die down or the end of August comes, I'll take it down. Results will be shared at that time.
