It looks like we can successfully access submitted community reviews at long last. Woohoo!
I have Community Reviews enabled in Staging, so you can take a look at it and remind yourself how it works. (Let me know if you have any questions.) If all looks well, I'd like to take a few days to create screencasts on how to use it and the ratings feature (if we decide to enable that, too).
If all looks well with "What's Simmering" then I could announce both new services in the blog, including screencasts on how to use them, and enable the blog feed on the live InfoSoup homepages late next week. It would be a nice way to get the blog off to a good start, as well as the new interactive features.
Sound good? Let me know what you think!
Thanks, Beth

Options are wonderful. Some patrons will opt to do the star rating; some will opt do write a review; some will opt do both; some will opt do neither. I just think it is TREMENDOUS to give patrons this kind of ownership of Infosoup!

Congrats on getting this working. I like it, though I think it should (optionally) include the name of the reviewer.

Terry - I like the idea of giving people an option to include their names. Unfortunately, there is very little we can do to tweak the Community Review feature as it comes in one of those lovely widgets that we can't touch, just style. We can, however, make suggestions to III for future development/adjustments to their products, and I will certainly do that. Thanks for your comments!

Will staff know about the new features ahead of the public? They would like that.

Becca - Yes, we can certainly alert staff before these features are made live, so they can be prepared.

I'm really excited for this!
In the meantime, if people want to leave their names with a review, they could always just append their review with a dash and their name (or put it in parenthesis).
