OWLSnet Network News is an occasional publication of the automation staff from the Outagamie Waupaca Library System, serving the OWLSnet consortium. The publication is intended to provide brief technical information to OWLSnet users that will document and explain Innovative Millennium features, encourage effective use of OWLSnet, and provide updates on outstanding issues and problems.

AAC meeting info

The following decisions were made at the May AAC meeting:

The next AAC meeting will be held July 13th in Appleton. This meeting has been added to the original schedule.

Order information (for those libraries using the acquisitions module) will not be displayed in InfoSoup, but will be displayed in staging.

We agreed to keep users logged into InfoSoup whenever they authenticate. This may mean that patrons in the library will need to be trained to log out of their accounts.

We will be forming a committee to investigate PC Management systems. Brown County may participate in this. After evaluating the systems benefits and costs, the committee will make recommendation to AAC.

Billing libraries for long overdue items will be on the next AAC agenda for a decision.

The libraries will take a 2% increase in membership fees to the library boards for approval.
