September 2007 Archives
We've been getting more and more calls about items that can't be checked in to trap a hold. Almost invariably, they turn out to be holds with a "not needed before" date that are showing up on the paging list before their time. It does appear that these are not frozen holds, as the system prevents patrons from freezing holds on available titles.
A call has been placed with Innovative about this. In the meantime, if a hold can't be trapped, check to see if a "not needed before" date has been placed in the hold.
The Circ Works/Tech Talks minutes have been posted on the Circulation and Cataloging paged of OWLSnet.info. If you weren't able to attend this meeting, check them out!
(Thanks to Kymberley Pelke for taking notes!)
At the September meeting, the 2008 meeting schedule was approved. The new schedule is posted on the OWLSnet.info AAC page.
If you have patrons reporting problem renewing items on InfoSoup, it may be that JavaScript is turned off in their browser.
The document Problem Renewing Items on InfoSoup - a Possible Solution discusses how to restore JavaScript in Internet Explorer 7.
