This spreadsheet lists the status of libraries converting to the new transit slips. If your library has converted, and isn't listed, please let me know!
This is just a reminder. The only acceptable transit slips during this transition period are the original pink/green slips or the new custom transit slips.
Until your printers and Millennium clients are configured, the system will happily print out the old style transit slips. We've never used this - they look very much like the checkout receipts with the same-sized text. These old style transit slips are not acceptable transit slips! If your library has not yet configured their printers to use the new custom transit slips (with the very large font), then you must continue to use the pink and green slips.
Thank you!

An old prompt has reared its ugly head. Prior to R2007, libraries had to respond to a prompt (for each hold for pickup elsewhere) that the item should be put in transit, rather than placed on the holdshelf. This went away with the current release, but somehow came back this weekend.
The problem has been fixed. If you are still experiencing this problem, please restart your Millennium clients. If, after restarting your client, you still see this prompt, please let me know.

The transit slips have been created and the instructions for enabling the slips have been posted. A number of libraries have already successfully implemented the new slips - so it's likely that you're seeing them in your van deliveries.
If you wish to follow the instructions independently, please feel free to do so. However, please be sure to:
If you wish to follow the instructions independently, please feel free to do so. However, please be sure to:
- Only configure one printer at a time. If the printer configuration does not work, it's possible that checkout receipts will be affected, and you will be unable to print checkout receipts.
- Follow the instructions very carefully! The steps must be followed exactly or the configuration will not work. If you're uncomfortable with this, just call me at the OWLS office, and I'd be happy to set up a remote session and install the printers for you.

The instructions for installing the graphical printer drivers (required for implementing the new transit slips) are ready to go!
Feel free to follow the instructions on your own, but make sure you only attempt one printer at a time.
It is possible (although unlikely) that you could make it impossible to print checkout receipts if there are problems with the driver installation, so make sure that you finish one printer before moving on to the next.
If you'd prefer to have me talk you through it, or have me remotely log onto your PC to do this, just give me a call and we can set up a time for this.
