AAC update

At the last AAC meeting, there were two items that staff might want to know about in advance of the meeting minutes. 

The blue patron record update form has now been replaced by an online Patron Record Update form.  A few comments about the form:
  • Please test the form by sending an update from and to your library.  Please do this as soon as possible to ensure the form is working correctly.
  • We've learned from experience that freely accessible forms generate lots of spam.  To prevent this, the form requires a login.  Please log in with your extranet username and password.
  • A staff name is required - so if there are any questions, the receiving library can contact the correct staff member.
  • Patron information should be copied and pasted from the patron record in Millennium.  
  • You'll receive a confirmation message with the name of the receiving library when you submit the form.  If you don't get this, hit your browser back button to edit the form.
The AAC meetings for 2010 have been scheduled.  We had some requests for days other than Fridays, but according to the survey, most OWLSnet librarians prefer Fridays.  The dates are Jan 15, Mar 19, May 21, July 16, Sep 24, Nov 19.  These dates are also listed on the OWLSnet AAC page.
