OverDrive eBook Update
As many of you know, InfoSoup users have access to thousands of
downloadable audio books and eBooks through our participation in a
statewide OverDrive collection.
Because of increased holiday traffic, the OverDrive web site has been
loading very slowly and sometimes unavailable. We apologize for the
inconvenience and frustration, and appreciate your patience as OverDrive
works to resolve the issues.
Our eBook collection is small but growing. We currently have 1668 titles
in adobe EPUB format and 271 titles in Adobe PDF format. More eBook
titles will be available in the coming months. Most eReaders, except the
Kindle, will work with OverDrive titles and iPhone and Android apps are
also available for direct download to your mobile device. Please see
our eBooks page for additional information.

- Debit cards cannot be used to pay fees with Ecommerce.
- If the transaction doesn't go through, encourage the patron to use another type of payment, or a different credit card. Don't encourage the patron to keep trying with the same card. There are many things that can block a transaction, including using a debit card or entering incorrect information (expiration date, confirmation code, etc.). Continuing to try with the same information isn't likely to result in a successful transaction.
- If a transaction didn't go through, but the patron claims that the funds were taken from their account, contact Gerri at the OWLS office. Don't attempt to resolve the problem yourself. Gerri will research the dispute with PayPal, and contact you, or the patron (whichever you prefer).
- There's an ECommerce FAQ in the OWLSnet Manual. All staff should know how to access the manual, which requires logging on with the extranet username and password. If you don't know how to log in, just call the OWLS office, and we can help.
