Services FAQBe sure to name your home page default.htm. This is important! Why? We use an NT server, and it looks for "default" as the home page in any directory and is also looking for a .htm file extension. If you do not use "default.htm," the server won't know where your page is located.
Yes. After your site is set up on the OWLS server by Beth, you will be trained how to update your pages.

Beth provides web design classes in the OWLS lab that any OWLSnet staff person is able to attend. If your library is an OWLS member, you have more options -- Beth can design a site for you and train you how to maintain it or she will provide one-on-one training at your own pace. NFLS libraries should contact Terrie Howe for assistance.
Yes. OWLS will provide a monthly site usage report to each library whose site is hosted on the OWLS server. We use WebTrends to generate the reports, and they will be posted online each month. If you have questions about your monthly reports, contact Evan at OWLS.
At this time, there are no limits. OWLS reserves the right to limit disk space should the need arise.
Yes. In order to protect our server, we do need to impose some restrictions. Please read the Web Services Policy [pdf] for more details.
